Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles (EVs) are automobiles that are powered entirely or partially by electricity rather than traditional fossil fuels like gasoline or diesel. They utilize electric motors and batteries to drive the wheels, providing an alternative to internal combustion engine vehicles. EVs can be fully electric, relying solely on electric power (battery electric vehicles, or BEVs), or hybrid, combining both an electric motor and a conventional engine (hybrid electric vehicles, or HEVs). Electric vehicles are recognized for their potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease air pollution, and decrease reliance on oil. They are increasingly popular due to advancements in battery technology, charging infrastructure, and growing environmental awareness among consumers.
